My name is Richard Mullenax and I've lived in Cleveland, Ohio all my life. Back in 2007, a friend sent me an ABC News article about Jonathon "The Impaler" Sharkey. I never laughed so hard. A vampire running for president? This had to be a joke.

Sadly...it wasn't.

A few months later, I contacted Jonathon through his MySpace profile. It just so happened that he was in town and I asked him if I could do an interview with him for my YouTube and MySpace Channel. He greedily accepted.

It was a chilly October night when I went to visit him at his obscure motel. It was out in the middle of nowhere and there was very little light illuminating the place except for where Jonathon's room was located. It was ripped straight from the pages of a B-Rated horror script. I invited a friend to come along. I figured it wasn't a good idea to be alone with a guy who thinks he's a satanic vampire.

When I knocked on his motel door, Jonathon greeted us enthusiastically. He seemed nice enough. The inside of his room made the Motel 6 look like the Ritz. It was small and dirty but he made it his own. He had a keyboard piano propped up against a wall and an over-sized Elvis Presley poster next to it. He gleefully explained it was his inspiration for a music project that he was working on. He was doing a music cover for Elvis love songs.

We made small talk and went straight into the interview. Afterwards, he invited us to a local bar to sing karaoke and showoff his vocals. As the night came to an end, I told him I wanted to shoot a full length feature about him. Without hesitation, he accepted. We shook hands and I left, returning to a much safer place.

When I arrived home that night, I sat in bed and reflected on what took place. It seemed so surreal in the moment, but now it was all sinking in. It was the beginning of a long and strange journey.

Since then, I made a film prank about his presidential candidacy, created web parodies, and penned an op-ed about him. I have spent over seven years investigating him and the more I learn, the more strange it becomes. Especially his obsession with underage females and making death threats against people of all varieties.

This is why Impaler Exposed exists. To make a well known case file against a man whose actions have gone too far against the people he's harassed and continue to harass. I'm not working alone either. I have aligned myself with some bright and talented people who are also looking into his heinous actions.

It is time to take action before something irreversibly bad happens to someone. Our goal is that this blog will be a prevention tool for any future crimes.
